Semester end Fitness Report

4 Words to Describe Myself 


Participates
I love to participate in sports such as handball, volleyball, badminton, and dodge ball. I really like to play these games, especially handball. I always participate in thing, even if im not trying my best, im always participating. 

Sportsmanship
I am really good at sportsmanship. i don't get mad at people when they mess up at sports and game because i am usually one of those people. I like to encourage people. 

Hard Working
I try hard most of the times in gym. Some fitness days im tired and dont wanna do anything but mostly, i do try hard. Especially in sports because i like to show that a girl can be good at sports, especially a short girl. 

Helpful
I help with setting up volleyball net but mostly badminton nets. Also when it is just our class me and sydney always help set up and put away. I am also helpful by pushing people to do better. I push Sydney to do better and she does. 


Participation 

My attendance in this class in very good. I think I've only miss two classes. I also always have my gymstrip, i think i've only forgot it once or twice. I always change at the of class because i hate being all sweaty and gross in all my other classes. I usually participate in every class. especially in sports we play because i hate fitness. I think i alright with my skill level in games. when i try really hard im pretty good i think. But when i dont try as hard i'm alright. On choice days i usually choose volleyball because i dont like any other game. I'm not very good at volleyball so it looks like i dont try but i do, i just suck.

Social Responsibility and Contributions

In class, i wouldn't say that i am a leader. But i do encourage people in class. I also help with equipment most days. Me and Sydney usually set up the badminton nets when we play badminton. I sometimes have a positive energy and sometimes i just dont want to do anything. I am always honest during class with fitness scores or with games. I would never cheat.  

Healthy Living

My Fitness scores are alright. My average is a 7 on the beep test and i think thats average. They show i have an average fitness level. My fitness hasnt really changed since the start of the year. I still get around the same scores i got at the start of the year. Limitations is that i can never get past 8 on the beep test, no matter how hard i try my body just wont let me. My goal by the end of the year is to pass 8. I am on the jazz team at school and we do core workouts all the time. It helps be able to do a physical activity longer than before because im dancing for a long time. I do get injured a lot. Im surprised i havent this year but when i do i am really good at healing it. I am not good at preventing the injury though because i am just really stupid and clumsy. Like i said i have a goal to get 8 on the beep test by the end of the year. Then i will be very happy with my fitness level.

Take Your Kid to Work Day :)

So yesterday i went to work with my dad. He does research for UBC. I had to get up at 5:30 and that sucked, a lot. When we got to work he introduced me to everyone, and there was a lot of people. He wasn't doing his job yesterday though. He's the facilities  manager in the building but yesterday he had to make deliveries all over UBC because the guy that normally does it was taking a personal day. We drove around for about 2 hours making deliveries and then we had to go back to his building because he had a meeting. While he was in that meeting i went around with some of the techs and they showed me around the building. I got to hold some baby rats and mice. I also got to feed some sheep and an alpaca. I got to clean cages and i got to ride the floor cleaning machine. It was really fun. After his meeting was finished we made some more deliveries and ate lunch. Then made more deliveries and then had to go back to his building so he could make some emails and then we went home. I had a lot of fun. It was just an awesome day.

Nothing has really changed since my first fitness test. I haven't improved yet and i want to. Next fitness test i want to try to get 7.5 or higher on my beep test.

Interim

So far in PE i have been working pretty hard. Some days i could probably work a little harder than i do. When we play choice i usually play volleyball and sometimes it may not look like it but i do try hard . In fitness i do work hard most of the days. i do really like it when the teachers change it up sometimes and do something new. Some days i do slack off and im trying my hardest not to but somedays i just dont wanna do anything. some of my strengths are running. My weaknesses are getting distracted. I could try harder somedays but i think i am doing pretty well in this class so far.

For my work habits i think i should get a G. I think i am working hard although i could maybe work a little harder.

This video is of a fitness day we did a few weeks ago that we had to create video evidence of the activities we had to do. This is one of me running up the stairs. that fitness day i can say that i did try hard. although my group did not finish all the activities we had to do we all did try hard and i am proud of myself for my work that day.
